Delange’s Industries LTD started off as THE TARP SHOP in Chilliwack by Jerry Delange. When he was working for a trucking company and realized the needs for more tarps, that’s how the idea was born
Kyle, Jerry’s son, was working full-time at a lumber mill, and after his 8-hour shift, he’d go to the tarp shop to work on repairs. After fixing tarps for a year and a half, Our TARP SHOP in Chilliwack received the first order for a brand new tarp from a large local company. After repairing tarps for a year and a half, Kyle was able to observe where the weak places were and where there might be a lot of improvements on a new style. Kyle quit the Mill in 2009 for full-time work at the Tarp Shop after slowly growing and working on the tarps for the years.
In 2019, The Tarp Shop of Chilliwack purchased a Hydraulic Shop in an industrial area in Chilliwack. Even though the difference between two businesses was like night and day, yet to everyone’s surprise, they ended up working well together. Who’d have guessed that the majority of customers in need of hydraulic services also had a lot of requests for tarps and custom covers? The mechanic here has over 15 years of expertise in their fields and knows it in and out.
Delange Tarps, Hydraulics and Pneumatic Industries in Chilliwack is a family-friendly oriented company, with Jerry and his wife having 4 children and 14 grandchildren. Kyle has two children whom he hopes to one day leave behind the business too, with a few employees all having their own kids and families. It’s small and it’s warm over here.
